The Quebec Tree Climbing Championship becomes Arbre en fête
The competition still takes place, but it is integrated to the great urban tree festival.

After this edition of the Tree Climbing Championship, a reflection on the mission and objectives of the event will begin. The event will be redesigned as a celebration of the urban tree. 2017 marks the last edition of the Championship in its current form.

The name of the competition is changed to Quebec Tree Climbing Championship.

In August 2003, at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, the SIAQ (Quebec Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture) has the honor of hosting the International Tree Climbing Championship.

2002 - Parc des berges Aristide-Laurier, Terrebonne

The championship of change. It is in 2002 that the Tree Climbing Championship received its first female competitors.
Maude Lussier won the women's cup.
The men's cup was won by Richard Aubé
